Add a watermark

Put text or a logo on your photos – one or a hundred at once. No upload, no sign-up.

or tap to choose. Many at once is fine.

Choose files

Step by step

  1. Drop one or more photos. With several, a gallery appears below the preview; tap an image to show it large.
  2. Under “Type”, choose whether to add text or a logo. For text, the © sign is already in the field, so you just type your name after it. For a logo, choose the image file.
  3. Set the “Position”: one of the corners, bottom center, the center or “Across the whole image (protection)”. The last option repeats the mark diagonally across the whole photo.
  4. Adjust “Size” and “Opacity” with the sliders and, for text, choose the “Text color”. The preview shows every change immediately.
  5. Download the image currently shown or, with several photos, all of them at once with “Download all as ZIP”.

What you can use it for

  • Client previews: Photographers show the selection from a shoot with a watermark across the whole image. The clean files only come after the order.
  • Product photos for listings and shops: A subtle lettering in the corner makes it harder for your images to be copied straight into other people's listings.
  • Art and illustrations online: A name or initials at the edge mean people can still recognize the creator after the image has been shared many times.
  • Marking copies of documents: Add a note such as “For verification by … only” across photos of IDs or certificates before sending them. That makes misuse for other purposes harder.
  • Property and holiday rental photos: Landlords and agents add their name or logo so their pictures don't turn up in other people's listings.

Protect your photos

Photographers, artists and sellers add a watermark so their images aren't reused without asking. Subtle in a corner, it shows who took the photo. Spread across the whole image, it makes removal much harder.

All photos get the same watermark at the same relative size – portrait or landscape.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The watermark is added in your browser.

Is the image size kept?

Yes. Photos keep their full resolution.

What format are the images saved in?

As high-quality JPG, even if the original was a PNG. Transparent areas of the original are not kept.

How do I make the watermark hard to remove?

Choose “Across the whole image (protection)” and a medium opacity. A mark in the corner is easily cropped off; a pattern across the whole subject is not. That said, there is no complete protection.

Why does white text have a dark outline?

So it stays readable on bright areas such as sky, snow or white walls. Other text colors get a light outline accordingly.

Can I use my signature as a watermark?

Yes. Turn it into a transparent PNG with “Signature to PNG” and then choose that file as the logo under “Type”.

Are camera data and GPS location kept?

No. Saving creates a new image without the embedded capture data. When publishing, that is usually exactly what you want.

What opacity makes sense?

The default of 60 percent is a good starting point for a subtle mark in the corner. If the watermark is mainly meant to protect, it can be stronger. Try it on one bright and one dark photo before exporting them all.
