Seamless pattern maker – make an image tileable
Drop an image and the edges are blended so it repeats without gaps. With a 3 × 3 preview.
or tap to choose.
Choose fileWorks best with even textures: fabric, wood, stones, flowers, patterns. Large single objects get softly blended at the seam.

Step by step
- Choose an image with an even structure and lighting that is as even as possible. Otherwise a brightness gradient from one corner to the other becomes a visible pattern when tiled.
- Drop the image. The tool takes a square section from the center. If you want a different area, crop the image to a square first.
- Choose the tile size: 512, 1024 or 2048 pixels. If your image is smaller, the tile is limited to its shorter side – it is not upscaled.
- Use “Blend width” to set how far the blending reaches from the edges into the image. Check the 3 × 3 preview for any remaining visible edge.
- Save the single tile with “Download”. It is only repeated in the program or by the print service where you use the pattern.
What you can use it for
- Print on demand: For leggings, cushions, phone cases or fabric with all-over print, many providers ask for a tileable design that repeats across the whole surface.
- Textures for 3D programs: Wood, stone, concrete or grass as a tileable texture can cover large areas without visible seams.
- Backgrounds: For websites, presentations or videos, a photo becomes a background that can continue in any direction.
- Craft and scrapbook paper: Your own patterned paper to print, for example from photos of flowers, fabric or watercolor washes, for cards, packaging and photo albums.
- Sublimation and vinyl: Tileable patterns fill mugs, tumblers or vinyl sheets completely, whatever width the printed area has.
What does it do?
Place a normal photo side by side and you see a hard seam at every edge. The tool softly blends the edges with the image content so the right side meets the left and the bottom meets the top seamlessly. The preview shows nine tiles side by side.
Even textures like fabric, wood, stones, grass or flower meadows work best.
Frequently asked questions
What are seamless patterns for?
Fabric and wallpaper printing, wrapping paper, print-on-demand products, website backgrounds and textures in 3D programs.
Is my image uploaded?
No.
Why is the result square?
The tool always works with a square section from the center of the image. A square tile repeats equally well in both directions.
What does a wider blend do?
A wide blend mixes a larger part of the image, which makes the seam less noticeable. In return, areas near the edges can look slightly doubled or softer. A narrow blend leaves more of the original unchanged.
I can still see the repetition – why?
Striking details such as a bright spot or a large leaf appear in the same place in every tile, and the eye picks up the grid. Images without prominent details look more even.
Is transparency kept?
No. The tile is always an opaque PNG. Transparent areas of the source image are not kept.
Which tile size should I use?
Smaller tiles are often enough for website backgrounds. For printing on large areas and for textures a larger tile makes sense, as long as your source image has enough pixels. If in doubt, ask your print service for its requirements.
Can I keep editing the tile?
Yes. “Continue with …” passes the result straight to another tool, for example to convert or upscale it.
