Step by step
- Drop the photos. On this page only “Faces” is ticked; plates are not searched for.
- Look at the first result in the large view. Every face found has a frame around it; green means it will be hidden.
- With group photos, take a close look at the edges and the background. If someone is missing, drag a rectangle over the face.
- If a person should stay recognizable, tap their frame. It turns red and the face stays visible in the result.
- Use “Style” and “Strength” to set how strongly faces are obscured, then download the photos one by one or together as a ZIP.
What you can use it for
- Photos from club events or tournaments: A report on the club website should show the atmosphere and what happened. Anyone who doesn't want to be shown is hidden, while you keep, say, the winner visible with a tap.
- Children in photos: Many parents prefer to show photos of children without recognizable faces, for example from a birthday party or a holiday. Other people's children in the background can be hidden the same way.
- Photos of flats and houses: Family pictures on the wall or a shelf quickly turn up in photos for renting or selling. Cover small faces in picture frames with a drawn rectangle if needed.
- Photos for reviews and reports: Describing a restaurant, event or hotel with photos often means other guests are in the picture. Their faces don't need to be recognizable for that.
For sales photos, club pages and social media
Family in the background of a sales photo, club members who don't want to be recognized, or pictures from an event: the AI finds the faces, even small ones in the background, and pixelates them.
Keep single faces visible
If your own face or someone else's should stay visible, tap its box in the image and it won't be pixelated. A rectangle you drag yourself hides anything the AI missed, such as faces in profile.
Your photos stay on your device – which matters especially with pictures of other people.
Frequently asked questions
How well does the AI detect faces?
Frontal and slightly turned faces very reliably, including small ones in group photos. Faces in profile or from behind not always – that's what the drag-a-rectangle option is for.
Pixelate or blur?
Both are available, plus a black bar. In all three cases the original details are no longer contained in the result.
Does the AI find very small faces in large groups?
Large photos are also searched in sections so that small faces in the background are found too. With a lot of people, it's still worth checking each face.
Are faces on posters or screens marked too?
That can happen, since the AI only sees the image. If such a face should stay visible, tap its frame.
How strong should the pixelation be?
The higher the strength, the coarser the blocks. For small faces in the background a medium setting is usually enough; large portraits can take a coarser one.
Can I hide just one particular face?
Yes. Tap all the other frames so they turn red. Then only the face with the green frame is hidden.
Does this replace the consent of the people shown?
The tool makes faces unrecognizable but doesn't answer legal questions. Whether you may publish a photo is something you need to check yourself.
